Jesuuna creates diaristic work influenced by her relationship with nature and the celestial. She is fascinated by curves and spirals in nature, and creates to honour nature's cyclical rhythms. She encourages others to embrace the romantic and poetic nature of the everyday.

Painting allows Jesuuna to confront her fear of forgetting. As a result, her paintings are a visual diary of images, notes, and small observations, documented through time. These memories spiral and live forever in her paintings, which becomes her personal cloud of collected dreams, moments, and events through her personal history.

The work challenges the relationship between fantasy and reality, as she narrates her own experiences with imagination and memory. While she hopes to not forget, she also embraces mortality and the nature of revisioned recollection through aging.

Jesuuna is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is influenced by her BFA in Architecture at UC Berkeley, background in classical music, and professional work as a designer. When she's not painting, Jesuuna is writing about love, collecting rocks for jewelry-making, and playing sudoku.
